CLAE is one of the first lifestyle sneaker brands that created their own original silhouettes and stuck to a clean, timeless aesthetic, which I have always felt like lends to longevity. This ROMARE upper is a nice balance of suede and leather. It is right on the cusp of being a dress shoe, but still real street. Like I could step to dinner at a fly restaurant with a lady friend, but then head downtown for an all night dance party; without having to change up my footwear. Not many shoes can lay claim to that type duality.
The COUSTEAU is CLAE's take on the wild popular silhouette of the moment, the deck shoe. The velcro straps a fresh alternative to the standard leather laces that are normally featured on deck shoes. I also like the cyan details. Very Tron.
