With a successful two-year run, D.C.’s largest poetry event, The @ttic, continues to entertain audiences as it returns to its previous home, The Lounge at Station 9.
The nation’s most talented poets will grace The @ttic’s stage on November 5, 2009 to strengthen the connection between the audience and the spoken word artists. Now that The @ttic is back where it started, the return show features one of the most prolific poets currently on the scene, Sunni Patterson, along with B.Yung from HBO’s Brave New Voices.
The event, which was founded by BBE, attracts attendees not traditionally exposed to such a unique mix of entertainment, performing arts and networking. The event has featured artists who have had their talents displayed before millions on Russell Simmons: HBO’s Def Poetry Jam, BET's Lyrical CafĂ©, and other major television outlets. Lemon, Roger Bonair-Agard, Steve Connell and Sekou (tha misfit), Sunni Patterson, and Asia, are only a few of the phenomenal talents that have performed at The @ttic.
