The Chairman will be launched at Baselworld 2009 at Ulysse Nardin’s booth. It will incorporate a Ulysse Nardin designed kinetic rotor system which is blended into the mechanical and aesthetical design of the smart phone. This smart-phone is hand-assembled under the strictest guidelines mandated by Ulysse Nardin.”

Victorinox is celebrating 125 years of business in 2009. This of course calls for some special releases to celebrating such an achievement. They have produced two chronographs for their anniversary. The first is the Jubilee Edition shown above which will be available to the masses in normal quantities. A second “Limited Edition” model with a red face will be available in 125 pieces. I happen to really dig the look of the “Jubilee Edition”. Both are housed in a 44mm casing and are water resistant down to 100 meters.
Given the volatile situation (political and natural) around most countries, I totally buy the idea of having an emergency phone around my space. Recent incidents of carnages and natural disasters imply that even a simple shopping, holiday or business trip can take an ugly turn instantaneously. This doesn’t mean that we stop traveling; it simply means we arm ourselves better. The Disposable Pre-Paid Phone could be that life-saving device, which could get you out of a sticky situation.
Simple, non pretentious, the phone is a very basic device that is devoid of the fancy stuff. This makes its cheap to manufacture and market. Another point in its favor is the portability factor; you can simply wrap it around your wrist. Leaving the connectivity issues aside, the phone has the potential to make its mark.
